As part of its efforts for the recognition, by the Canadian government, of the Genocide of the Greeks of the Ottoman Empire – as a whole – that is, of Eastern Thrace, Asia Minor, and Pontos, from 1908 to 1924”, and to acknowledge the associated commemorative days of April 6 (Eastern Thrace), May 19 (Pontos) and September 14 (Asia Minor), the CHC has launched a Petition campaign to further urge the Government to recognise the Genocide.

Στα πλαίσια των ενεργειών του για την αναγνώριση, από την Καναδική κυβέρνηση, της Γενοκτονίας των Ελλήνων της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας – στο σύνολό της – δηλαδή της Ανατολικής Θράκης, της Μικράς Ασίας και του Πόντου, από το 1908 έως το 1924, και των σχετικών ημερών μνήμης της 6ης Απριλίου (Ανατολική Θράκη), της 19ης Μαΐου (Πόντο) και της 14ης Σεπτεμβρίου (Μικρά Ασία), το ΕΚΚ έχει ξεκινήσει εκστρατεία ηλεκτρονικού αιτήματος για την περαιτέρω παρότρυνση της Κυβέρνησης για την αναγνώριση της Γενοκτονίας.
